DAY 7 - China Adventure

CHINA ADVENTURE, DAY 7
Today we got to experience Changsha in more detail. Richard took us through the Hunan Cultural Museum this morning where we were able to see artifacts from Hunan Civilization throughout the centuries including textiles, pottery, Chinese calligraphy and a famous Chinese mummy that is several thousand years old, and very well preserved. We then drove to Mao Tse-tung's boy-hood school. Very interesting architecture and a glimpse into regional history here in Hunan.

Out touring, we are able to meet and talk with many locals. We are surprised how open and friendly most people are here. Changsha is not a big international tourist destination, so there are not many Westerners, but we are treated very well. They find Lexi adorable, and along with our two tall sons, there are many who stop us to say hello and some who even want to take our picture. Getting to know these people and this place makes us feel that we know a little more about Lexi and from where she came.
