CHINA ADVENTURE, DAY 1 (AP wire services):
Woke bright and early Wed, Jan 6th (3:15am!) for our 6:15am departure. All worked out great and no delays to report (even with connection through Newark!), along with a beautiful sunrise from the plane.
We arrived in Beijing late on Thursday after our 13 1/2 hour flight and 13 hour time change! In-seat video, plenty of snacks and a few naps really helped pass the time quickly. Upon arrival; a long taxi ride to the hotel, dinner, and now resting for a big day of touring tomorrow.

So glad you arrived safely and left town before the winter blast hit! Kids had a snow day today! (One less day of work missed for your kids!) We have about 4-5 inches of snow, but it is terribly cold. (Temps will get below zero tonight) You made it out just in time as today many airport delays everywhere! Enjoy every minute!
