DAY 2 - China Adventure

CHINA ADVENTURE, DAY 2 (Reuters):
Everyone feeling refreshed after a good night sleep. Out early on a grand tour of Beijing with Helen, our tour guide and new friend. She (along with Mr. Wang), took us to the Great Wall at Badaling, the largest Jade factory in China, a silk plant, the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and for traditional Chinese Tea to complete the afternoon. Tea really hit the spot considering the temperatures were in the teens most of the day!

Tonight, we were able to experience a true Beijing feast of Peking Duck. Let's just say, we are getting accustomed to seeing the fowl's head (and possibly feet) served with any poultry dish. . .delicious though.  A stroll through the streets of Beijing back to our hotel (with ice cream, of course) completed this action-packed and fun-filled day. And a special thanks to Helen for the free Mandarin lessons!
